90 Days Left!

October 2nd marks the countdown of the last 90 days in the year. It’s hard to believe that we are here when it seemed we were excited to get the year started not long ago!

The last 90 days marks something different for everyone. For some, it is the home stretch to achieving their year long goals and finishing off those last rocks (in EOS terms). For others it is the desire to get the year over with and start fresh in the new year. And of course - these 90 days herald the holiday season.

However you see these last 90 days - I encourage you to make them count. Here are a few ways to do that:

  • Do a Quarterly Review - take time to recognize your wins to date, what you have accomplished and what do you need to realistically do these last 90 days. Here is a quick review of how to do one.

  • Vote - now more than ever we need to make our voices and our votes count. You may feel one vote doesn’t matter - but thousands of single votes coming together do. Need to figure out if you are registered or where to vote? Start here.

  • October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - don’t forget to do that self-check. Also - check out Serena William’s version of “I Touch Myself” that she just released to remind you about that self-check!

  • Plan How You Will Spend Your Time This Quarter - Get out that calendar and start blocking time for the events you want to attend, the school concerts you want to be there for and time for yourself. Then hold those sacred! Too often we let time get away from us and then we find we don’t have time to do what is important for us in living out our values and priorities. And we end up not enjoying the holidays! Don’t let that be you! (See the item about our Preview Session below.)

  • Consider What You Need to be Successful Next Year - Take some time out to really think about what you would like to accomplish in the year to come and what you will need to do that. You might get this done in your Quarterly Review or if you are like me - you might want to take some time at a spot like the Arboretum, through a day pass at The Coven or ModernWell, or wherever your favorite spot is.

  • Explore Options to Help You Grow in the New Year - sign up for a college class, take an online course, find a coach or join a group. It might also mean challenging yourself to do something completely outside your comfort zone - like attending a Wild Hive Dance Hive or go for a Still Kickin’ Workout. And of course you could attend our BWC Preview Session to learn more about what we do and experience a mini learning opportunity that looks out how to use your time based on your priorities - you can register here.

  • Shop and Support Women Owned Businesses this Holiday Season - There will be many opportunities to support other women throughout the season - be that through shopping at an event like Mend Jewelry’s Trunk Show at Nordstrom, our BWC Happy Hour hosted by Kisa Boutique, ordering Nothing Bundt Cakes (we like the Minnetonka store) or Thumbs Cookies for sweet treats there are many, many options out there! To find more places to shop and events to attend - check out Maia Community for all things women owned and supported!

Those are just a few ideas on how to finish the year off in a meaningful way - big or small. We’ll also keep you up to date on other events and opportunities in our newsletters.

So what are you waiting for? The count down is on!
